We are living in a broken world with many corrupt people in the community. Crimes of fraud has been reported almost daily. Example, macau scam, pyramid scheme, love scam, charity scam, fake ones own kidnaping and lately job scam in Cambodia.

JOHN 14:1 “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God,

and trust also in me.

Trusting God because of your faith and His promises. As said in PROVERBS 3:5-6

5……………..and lean not on own understanding; 6 in all

your ways submit to him, and

he will make your paths straight.

In all that Job suffered, Job never know the reasons for his afflictions. unlike others, Job never blame God but maintain

 

his trust in Him. Job said in yet will I hope in him”

of His promises, we have a real living hope.

 

The author Herbert Lockler said there are 7147 promises from

God to man. Lets group them in 5 major categories:

1. He has excellent and great plans for you and I. Jeremiah 29:11

2. Whenever you go to him, he will always give you rest from the troubles of life. Matthew 11:28 – 29

3. a promise of redemption from this life of sin 2nd Peter

 

4. the love he has for you is inseparable from you, not even death Romans 8 : 38 – 39,

5. and that his protection for you is ever sure Psalm 121.

 

ESSENTIAL TO KNOW WHO GOD IS

God is TRUTHFUL

God is faithful in all He does in accordance with His DIVINE CHARACTER.

2 2:13

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.

Joshua said, “Not one word of all His good promises have failed”   (Joshua 21:45)

 

When God makes a promise, we have the assurance that He will keep it. He is powerful to do all things, He knows all about us, about what we need, He will fulfil that promise anytime, anywhere if we need it, and He never lies and He cannot change His mind.

Malachi 3:6 “For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.

Hebrews 6:8 “So that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.”

Affliction can come from the devil and when it happens, be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them;

However when we sin or make a wrong choice, out of His love and His purpose, God afflicts us. Psalm 119:79 “I know, O Lord

, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. ”

when we endure suffering, we take comfort in God’s faithfulness to keep his promise to ultimately deliver us from our suffering even if it means death.

 

BUILDING YOUR IN GOD

WAIT ON THE LORD – SEEKING

HIM THROUGH SCRIPTURE AND PRAYER

Psalm 27:14

“Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: Wait, I say, on the LORD”

Isaiah 40:31

31 But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not be faint

 

IF STILL DON’T BELIEVE : OVERCOME UNBELIEF.

Mark 9:22-24 The man replied Jesus that the little boy was possesses by demon “Since he was a little boy.

22 The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?”   Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

24 The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

 

LET US PRAY

Thank you, Heavenly Father, for being who you are. You are powerful, dependable, truthful, and you never change. Your word is our fortress, and you promises offer us hope and are sure to be kept. You don't merely want us to exist in this world; you want us to live the meaningful lives that you have planned for us.

Lord, please assist us to overcome our doubt and banishes the terror from our hearts. Give us a companion in the Holy Spirit so that we are not fighting the prince of this world alone and that we will not be terrified even when we are in the deepest valley.

We will keep believing you, resting in your faithfulness, and living by your righteousness.
